Issue 4/2012 of Transsylvania Nostra Journal contains articles about the conservation of several historic buildings – financed by European funds –, such as the Oradea Fortress and the Kiosk in Cluj-Napoca. The first one is still in course of conservation; meanwhile the second was finished in summer of 2012. Beside these two articles, other texts were published about structural degradations at listed wooden churches in the Banat Region, about the mechanical testing of the addition mortars at the Báthory Fortress in Şimleu Silvaniei and the historical gardens in Transylvania. The last article represents the start of a new heading of the journal, presenting examples of landscape ensembles with historic value.
